10 Wrestlers WWE Have Already Ruined In 2022

7. Sasha Banks

More than a few heads were turned at the announcement and reveal of a returning Sasha Banks on SmackDown mere hours before this year's Royal Rumble event was set to kick-off. Why waste such a crowd-popping surprise on a go-home episode of the blue brand when it could add further energy and excitement to a match and night that was ultimately lacking on both fronts for the most part?

Well, as it goes, it appeared WWE were trying their best to taper their audiences' expectations on the night itself, with The Boss putting in a solid if unspectacular sub-10-minute showing in the Rumble. And while the former SmackDown Women's Champion likely wasn't too fazed by this underwhelming treatment, what with her being an all-round superstar away from the squared-circle now post-Mandalorian, it still felt like a serious blow to the star's chances of doing anything of real meaning coming into 'Mania 38.

That battle with old sparring partner Bayley on The Grandest Stage could realistically come to pass, sure. But, if it doesn't, then WWE could be left carting out Banks in a less than desirable multi-women bout or even leaving her on the sidelines altogether. Madness.
