10 Wrestlers WWE Have Given Up On In 2020

Last Win: 1 May (SmackDown)

Why did WWE dissolve the R-Truth/Carmella partnership? They've made a lot of nonsensical creative moves over the last year or so, but this sits near the top.

It's not that The Fabulous Truth was ever going to be a top-level, money-drawing act, as their antics were tailor-made for the midcard. Still, they were great together. Truth and 'Mella had the kind of chemistry that can't be fabricated in a writers' room and the partnership kept both occupied and entertaining, with a spot on weekly television almost guaranteed.

Truth has retained a steady presence in the 24/7 Title division since the tandem went their separate ways in 2019. Carmella hasn't been so fortunate, falling from the spotlight completely. She was a borderline contender in 2020's first few months, even wrestling Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship in November, but is now an also-ran, rarely making television and only scoring her latest victory (over Mandy Rose) through Sonya Deville's interference.

She's so far removed from the performer that once held the strap for a divisive 130 days now.
