10 Wrestlers WWE Have Given Up On In 2020

4. The Viking Raiders

Last Win: 4 May (Raw)

WWE hasn't given up on The Viking Raiders in that they have removed from them television, as Erik and Ivar are on Raw every single week. They're around. They exist as a pushed commodity insofar as a tandem can be "pushed" in this listless era of WWE tag team wrestling, though they have become a dumb comedy act in a promotion incapable of writing such content with going full slapstick

WWE has given up on presenting the former War Machine as an entity that anyone will ever be able to take seriously again, however.

"But they have personality now!" is a common rebuttal, as if the only things that constitute "personality" in WWE are reciting the creative team's awful jokes and smiling when a massive turkey leg flies into your hand like Thor's hammer. It's a nonsense defence. Aggression, pugnacity, grit, and conviction are personality traits too: the Raiders had those in abundance in NXT, so why not on Raw as well?

We should have seen the signs during the "Viking Experience" debacle.
