10 Wrestlers WWE Loved Burying Over & Over
7. The Revival
The burial of The Revival doesn't merely come down to them losing a bunch and not reaching their potential. It shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how the main roster translates their NXT stars to a broader audience.
The developmental brand never had a problem making The Revival feel like the best tag team in the world, but on the main roster, the writers and bookers just seemed lost with them.
They hardly ever won matches, they were given embarrassing storylines to complete, were buried by the commentary team and despite winning tag team gold, never allowed to feel like a dominant tag team.
This constant burial was only cemented when the appalling designs were leaked for what WWE had planned for them. We are in a weird state where as fans we are all glad they got away and are having a great run in AEW, but all of us are maybe just a little morbidly curious to know what this whole mess would have gone down like if they had stayed.
Despite being one of the best tag teams in the business, they were buried over and over by WWE.
