The story of Zack Ryder is one that will live in infamy. For many, it was their first time understanding that WWE did not always care about what they wanted. It felt as though their constant burial of this incredible talent existed purely to mock those that supported him. Judging by WWE's track record, this probably explains why it happened again and again.
The Zack Ryder incident is almost symbolic for a WWE burial. Fans fell in love with a star because of how hard he worked. Then were forced to witness as John Cena took everything that he had achieved for himself, and finally had to watch him be repeatedly beaten up on RAW and made to look significantly small.
WWE even challenged themselves when they decided to push him. They gave him a tremendous Intercontinental tle win at WrestleMania only to bury him the very next night again by having him lose it to The Miz.
The company seemed to take malicious joy in ruining the career of this superstar who at one point, was the most popular person in the company.
