10 Wrestlers WWE Must Not Rehire

5. Paul Wight

There were some wild takes when Paul Wight joined AEW. 'I think Tony Khan can get more from him', some said. Wight himself even seemed game for it; he openly pitched matches against Kenny Omega. In retrospect, it's a good thing that wasn't inflicted on the wrestling world in 2021.

In March 2023, Paul said he had two years remaining on his All Elite deal. So, WWE would be able to bring him back in March 2025 if he sees out the duration of that contract. They shouldn't. Look, bringing Big Show back as some sort of ambassador is fine, but that's it.

He's a spent force physically, and hasn't really cracked it on commentary either. Some appearances have been better than others behind the desk, but Khan hasn't shown full trust in 'Paul Wight: The Wrestling Announcer Years' as of yet. What does Show have to offer WWE's future?

That's the question everyone should be asking once he's a free agent.
