10 Wrestlers WWE Must Not Rehire

4. Matt Riddle

Sorry to any fans of the 'Bro' out there, but Matt Riddle is more trouble to WWE than he's worth.

The man himself has admitted that during interviews since being scrapped in late-2023. Riddle comes with a lot of poor PR baggage, and that might never change. He's a walking law unto himself away from the ring, and Triple H doesn't need those sorts of headaches given everything else that's been looming over WWE post-Vince McMahon.

Here's a worker who really should've gone on to main event pay-per-views (possibly even WrestleMania) and win countless World Titles. In-ring, Riddle is ace. On the mic, he's quirky and an engaging loose cannon. On the road? That's a different story. Matt brings far too much trouble to WWE's door.

There are others who can work the high quality bouts he does, so that isn't enough to offset all of the other bad bits. WWE showed patience with Riddle when he maybe didn't deserve any, and they weren't rewarded for that in the end either.

Patience ran out.
