10 Wrestlers WWE Must Sign After WrestleMania 33

From former stars to indie darlings, WWE would look a whole lot better with this lot.

It's WrestleMania season, and that mains widescale roster changes are just around the corner. WWE typically use the weeks following their biggest show of the year to shake things up anyway, but this year should be particularly busy. There has been talk of major roster changes after Mania, and with a number of big NXT call-ups practically guaranteed, the Raw & SmackDown rosters might be unrecognisable by April.

Things could definitely use freshening up. WWE have made a hot start to 2017, but a number of wrestlers have fallen into repetitive holding patterns. Add SmackDown's threadbare midcard and Raw's one-dimensional main event scene to the equation, and there's a clear need for WWE to throw some new faces into the mix.

The company have been extremely aggressive in their talent acquisitions lately, and they're always looking to add fresh blood to the talent pool. WrestleMania is the company's season finale, and the aftermath is the perfect opportunity to bring newcomers in without interrupting existing storylines.

Whether WWE dip into the free agent market or not, all the names within would bring a jolt of excitement to Raw, SmackDown, or NXT...

10. Candice LeRae

With the likes of Heidi Lovelace and Kimber Lee recently joining the Performance Center, WWE have already started padding their roster for the rumoured women’s tournament. The competition is still to be announced, but these signings are a surefire sign that something big is on the way, and that the Women’s Revolution is only growing stronger in 2017.

For all the leaps WWE have made with women’s wrestling, however, they’re still light on numbers for the tournament. They’re going to need to bring at least a few more fresh faces through the door before they can start booking, and Candice LeRae’s name should be towards the top of the list.

Candice is one of the most popular independent wrestlers in America, and she’s also carving out a nice name for herself in Japan. Though primarily known for her intergender work, she’s just as effective in straightforward women’s matches, and plays her underdog role to perfection. Her name is always thrown around when potential female signings are mentioned, and she’d likely jump at the chance to join her husband Johnny Gargano in NXT.

It all hinges on whether or not WWE can look beyond her history in intergender and hardcore matches, but if they can do it for Lovelace, they can do it for LeRae.
