10 Wrestlers WWE Must Sign Before 2017 Ends

8. Donovan Dijak

You can imagine Vince McMahon getting a good look at Donovan Dijak in person and then immediately reaching into his pockets to throw wads of cash at him to sign him on the spot. It’s a bit curious as to why this disturbing scenario hasn’t played out already.

At 6-foot-7, Dijak would immediately be one of the largest members on the entire WWE roster. Even though the business has embraced wrestlers of a shorter stature, let's face it, the boss still loves a big man with them big muscles.

At the age of 30, Dijak has years to develop into a top player and has the athleticism to do so. For his size, he’s more athletic than Baron Corbin or Luke Gallows (though he's not as polished as an act yet) and has plenty of independent experience to draw from. He spent two years in Ring of Honor, winning the Top Prospect tournament in 2015 but left the company in Feb. of this year to seek greener pastures. While he continues to work the indies, it seems a trip to NXT has got to be somewhere in his near-ish future.

Right now, it’s hard to imagine WWE going too much longer without offering Dijak a deal. He still needs a bit of ring work before he's ready for the main roster, but for the time being, NXT could certainly use another big man on hand.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
