10 Wrestlers WWE Must Sign Before 2017 Ends
7. Shawn Daivari
This pick is a random one, but it's all bout saving a current act who surely deserves better.
Ariya Daivari is a talented guy but he is absolutely floundering on the main roster. He started getting a little something when he feuded with Jack Gallagher but when that ended, he became a complete afterthought. Most recently, he’s experimenting with a new wardrobe to make him look like a rich guy...or something? Whatever they're going for isn't quite connecting.
What could help Ariya find some momentum as a character is teaming up with his older brother Shawn. Despite first debuting in WWE way back in 2004, Shawn is only 33-years-old. He’s currently running a training school in Minneapolis, but for the right price, he would very likely hit the road once more.
Besides helping out Ariya, Shawn could help boost Raw's tag division. The brothers would make great opponents for The Hardyz, Enzo and Cass and The Revival right out of the gate. And considering Gallows and Anderson were just destroyed by The Big Show and Enzo, the brand needs another credible tag team as soon as possible.
It seems like a long shot due to his name not popping up much lately, but Shawn has a bigger upside than recent returning veterans in Curt Hawkins, Rhyno and Tajiri. He's proved in the past that he can draw great heat from the crowd. Look back to see how much he added to Muhammad Hassan's act (not quite so much The Great Khali). If he's able to make Ariya a more relevant character in the coming years, it will be worth the investment.
