10 Wrestlers WWE Should Have Signed YEARS Earlier

5. Karrion Kross

Unlike many of this list, Kross actually appeared for WWE years before being signed, working a one-off dark match in 2015. Since that blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance, he has been honing his craft on the indies just biding his time until McMahon-land came knocking once more.

Had his prior years been spent learning under the WWE banner instead of Lucha Underground and Impact, Kross could easily have been built as a dangerous and dominant heel, the kind of guy that can hold his own against Edge, or John Cena, and maybe even the perfect choice to end The Streak by burying The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Fortunately for all of us, Kross is still only 35 years old, which by modern standards is still pretty young. His push so far has shown that the company is willing to get behind him, and unlike many other NXT graduates, it's hard to see a future where Vince doesn't push him to the moon. Any way you slice it, Karrion Kross is arguably WWE's smartest signing of 2020.
