10 Wrestlers WWE Shouldn't Rehire

7. Erick Rowan

Picture the scene: Erick Rowan returns to WWE and ruins Drew McIntyre's Undisputed Title celebrations by setting a giant spider on him. Suddenly, industry critics are talking about a coming boom, because ratings have gone through the roof for this arachnid-inspired World Title feud.

Or, the renamed Erick Redbeard could continue hanging around the indie circuit and making cameos on AEW programming whenever they give him a call. That isn't a better spot than tangling with WWE's top champions, but the above scenario is about as plausible as Vince McMahon's animal-in-a-cage storyline was several years back.

What a load of absolute dogsh*te that one was.

Does anyone really want to see Rowan return to the promotion, win a few squash matches and then stall? That'd surely be his fate, and it just doesn't sound very fun. He was always limited in-ring anyway, so it's not like the ex-Wyatt Family man would offer much second time round.
