The ‘Fred Yehi to WWE’ rumours have already begun to circle. The EVOLVE standout has been making waves on the independent scene over the last few years without getting the widespread acclaim that his work deserves - something which might stand him in good stead, if and when he arrives at the WWE Performance Center.

Yehi is already on WWE’s rader, coming up short in a Cruiserweight Classic qualifier against eventual winner, TJ Perkins. Yehi’s stock has been on the up and up ever since, and the ‘Resurrector of Wrestling’ has picked up a number of big wins over Anthony Nese, ACH, Matt Riddle and many more.

Yehi is a true all-round talent. As charismatic as he is athletic, he has forged a path for himself as technical wrestling savant with unique offence and energy to spare. Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently speculated that Yehi is on his way to WWE sooner rather than later.

One can only hope that prediction is accurate.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
