10 Wrestlers WWE Will Sign In The Next 12 Months

3. Matthew Riddle

Fred Yehi’s former Catch Point stable mate is also considered a shoe-in to eventually sign with World Wrestling Entertainment. Is there a hotter talent on the independent wrestling scene right now than the King of Bros, Matthew Riddle? I’d wager not.

Following his controversial tenure in the UFC, Riddle sauntered into pro wrestling with a lot of publicity and sky-high expectations. Has he met the latter? Answering ‘yes’ to that question is a gross understatement. Riddle has taken to pro wrestling like the proverbial duck to water, going from rookie to elite talent in two short years.

Riddle is rumoured to be on his way to NJPW, and the former PROGRESS Atlas Champion has all but confirmed those rumours himself. The Bro’s prowess and popularity won’t have gone unnoticed by WWE however, and the prospect of getting a former UFC fighter to put pen to paper with the biggest pro wrestling company on the planet is going to be too tempting for Vince McMahon to pass up on.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
