The unhinged WCW miscreant was previously known better as Devon Storm, a mulleted independent standout with Rocker-style tights and a willingness to fling his body around recklessly.
Keeping in line with WWF's odd fascination with airing matches on Raw is War pitting non-contracted talents against each other, Storm took on regular tag team partner Ace Darling on the July 28 episode of the show. Curiously, the match was merely a single roll-up, with Storm catching an unaware Darling suddenly and pinning him.
Later in the year, Storm took part in the tournament to crown the new WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, losing to TAKA Michinoku in the opening round. Two years later, Crowbar would arrive in WCW as David Flair's new interesting friend.
