Fans of the Attitude Era will only remember Japanese stable Kai En Tai for a handful of things. Facing The Oddities at SummerSlam, interfering in the 2000 Royal Rumble, and threatening to chop off Val Venis' "pee pee". That's about it.

The stable actually began life in Japan and had way more members than the four that were in WWE, including William Regal's best bud Tajiri.

Going by the name Kai En Tai DX (you can see why they dropped that part of their name when they got to WWE), the stable took part in a ten-man tag team match at Michinoku Pro's 3rd-anniversary show in 1996. On the Kai En Tai side were Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Shiryu, Taka Michinoku, and SmackDown's Number One Announcer, Shoichi Funaki.

Considering Funaki's achievements in WWE peaked when he was Hardcore champion for about thirty seconds at WrestleMania 2000, seeing he has a five star-er under his belt might be a bit of a shocker. But you only have to watch his work in Japan or ECW alongside the rest of Kai En Tai to know that WWE really did ol' "Kung Fu Naki" dirty during his time there.
