3. Sid

Our final WarGames match is actually one we've already covered; the main event of WrestleWar 1991. Whilst Sting and Brian Pillman were backed up by The Steiners, Ric Flair, Barry Windham, and Larry Zbyszko had their own reinforcements in the form of Sid Vicious.

Sid had returned to The Horsemen and had reignited his feud with Sting in the build-up to this match and was on the winning side when he repeatedly powerbombed Pillman into submission. He not only won the match that night, but also heaps of praise from the Wrestling Observer and its fans. The whole show was rated the third-best in the history of the newsletter at that time and, of course, Dave gave the match the full five stars.

Much like Scott Steiner, Sid is also often portrayed as a big, lumbering goofball who is far more entertaining to watch wrestle with the English language than with an actual opponent. 1991 was a very different time though and Sid's size and power, along with the devastating nature of his finisher, made him highly compelling to watch.

Although bless the other men in this match for trying to work around him.
