Believe it or not, the guy pulling a classic double bicep pose in the pic above is WCW icon Sting. Yes, he's a 'Man Called Sting', and he had muscles for days years before he was painting his face, wearing a trench coat or wielding a baseball bat. Young Steve Borden was ripped, man.

Ripped.

Older fans (or curious ones) may recall seeing early snaps of Sting alongside The Ultimate Warrior. They were part of 'Power Team USA', a group of rookies spearheaded by manager Rick Bassman in indy group All-California Pro Wrestling in the 80s. That was Sting's start in the industry, and he wouldn't look back.

He would, however, leave competitive bodybuilding behind. Sting didn't place high in the rankings as a competitor, and he likely realised he could make way more money as a pro wrestler instead. Bodybuilding was simply a way to keep his body in shape, nothing more.
