In the time prior to signing on the TNA dotted line and ultimately becoming an integral part of the Beautiful People group, Velvet Sky actually attempted to get her foot in the WWE door on a few occasions from 2005 to 2007.

On the back of appearing as an extra during JBL's Celebration of Excellence on a February 2005 edition of SmackDown, a then-Talia was bested by eventual TNA rival Victoria on a July episode of Heat. Sky would also appear alongside Trinity on another Heat show in January 2006, this time as a planted audience member who ultimately shared a dance with The Heart Throbs after their bout.

2007 also saw the future multiple-time Knockouts Champion audition for WWE's Diva Search, though she wouldn't make the final eight in the end. WWE's Ruthless Aggression era loss was TNA's gain in the end as Sky would eventually forge a respectable career in the Impact Zone from 2007 onwards.

Had WWE taken a chance on a talent Mick Foley once claimed would be a "valuable addition" to WWE's roster, though, then perhaps Impact's awesome Knockouts division would've been deprived of one of its most popular Beautiful People.
