10 Wrestlers You Will Never See In WWE Hall Of Fame
6. Dick Murdoch
The underappreciated 'Captain Redneck' was amongst the best in the world during one of wrestling's most exciting periods, the 1980s. As adept a brawler as he was a technician, he was a top-level bumper and seller with great facial expressions, and as comfortable a tag wrestler as he was a singles guy. On top of this, he was a great, sharp-tongued talker, an elite psychologist, and boasted working punches the calibre of Jerry Lawler and Terry Funk. There wasn't a single weakness in his game.
Though Murdoch is perhaps held back by his lack of mainstream accolades (despite once holding the WWF World Tag Team Championships), the real reason Dick isn't getting in the Hall of Fame is simple: he was either closely associated with or was a fully-fledged member of the Ku Klax Klan.
Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson have both corroborated this, claiming that Murdoch told them of his membership himself, as has Bad News Brown. Dusty Rhodes, meanwhile, used to tell an old road story of his former tag partner taking him to a KKK meeting without telling him beforehand.
Definitely not a legacy WWE wants to be associated with.
