In the 2002 draft longtime friends Bradshaw and Farooq were split up. It was a bittersweet moment. Bradshaw went to Raw to largely battle in the Hardcore Division, and Farooq went over to SmackDown, and changed his ring name to his real name.

Without Bradshaw, Simmons briefly entered singles competition before being paired up with Reverend D-Von for no real reason.

The two didn’t enjoy a lot of success together as a team. Both were popular based off their past accomplishments in the tag division, and because of the chemistry they’d developed with their old partners, but together they weren’t very exciting. After six months on the blue brand, Simmons left TV for seven months before once again returning to team up with Bradshaw.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
