10 Wrestling Careers Damaged By The WWE Draft

3. Paul London

Brian Kendrick wasn’t the only individual from Paul London and Brian Kendrick (very creative tag name) to feel the effects of the draft. London did too, only sooner.

The duo were a popular, high-flying, babyface team in WWE, and had a long run with the tag team titles. But all good things must end. While Kendrick was shipped off to SmackDown to enjoy some success, London stayed on Raw and was largely forgotten.

Management didn’t see much in him as a singles star, and without any sort of Cruiserweight division, and badly a crumbling tag division in place, they left him largely off TV. He did briefly take part in a story with Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, but was only used to put over the heels.

After five months of being on the Raw brand all by his lonesome, WWE released him.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
