10 Wrestling Careers Damaged By The WWE Draft

5. Mike Knox

Mike Knox Elimination Chamber

In February of 2009, Mike Knox was in the Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Two months later he was drafted to SmackDown. He defeated R-Truth in his debut match on the brand, and then never, ever won again.

The man went on an incredibly sad 30 match losing streak on TV, which became impossible to overcome. Despite improving in the ring, and gaining a badass look during his time in WWE, the company didn’t have any big plans for him on SmackDown, and turned him into the modern day Barry Horowitz.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
