In 2008, Impact Wrestling (then known as TNA) released their first and only console video game.

TNA Impact! put players into the shoes of Suicide, a wrestler with amnesia who had to work his way through the game's story mode to recover his identity.

Not a bad plot, if a little out there, but things got even more ridiculous when the character of Suicide made his actual debut for TNA at the Final Resolution pay-per-view.

The character was initially portrayed by Frankie Kazarian, who would alternate with Christopher Daniels in playing the role over the next two years. After that, a who's who of wrestlers donned the mask and body suit, including T. J. Perkins, Jonathan Gresham, Taiji Ishimori, and Nash Carter

Daniels even won the X-Division championship whilst playing the character, as did Austin Aries, although that was revealed to be a ruse later that same night.

The gimmick more than exceeded its original lifespan and has now become a strange but beloved part of Impact's history.

The character was last seen as recently as 2021, so who knows, maybe the masked man will return again someday.
