10 Wrestling Characters Which Terrified Young Children
9. The Original Lunatic Fringe
Usually seen accompanying Bam Bam Bigelow to the ring (another scary character), Luna Vachon was described as the man's "main squeeze", and oh what a catch she was. Screaming out at the top of her lungs for the fans to shut up, Luna was wholly convincing in her role as unpredictable weirdo. Mixing the perfect storm of being mentally unstable with a blatant disregard for the safety of others, Vachon reminded everyone of that kid in the playground who would pick fights with just about anybody. She was one to steer clear of, otherwise you'd end up with a sore face, and it's fascinating to look back at old WWF footage to see even adults scampering clear of her advances. It's perhaps unfortunate that Luna never really got to show much of her in-ring skill during her tenure with the WWF, but her ringside antics were utterly memorable. Often, the woman would yell at the cameraman, warning him to stay away from her. On other occasions, she'd simply gurn for the lens, giving everyone at home a good look at her unique features!
