10 Wrestling Details That Aren’t As Important As You Think
8. Ken Shamrock As The Guest Referee
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock made his WWF debut in 1997 after a successful spell in the world of MMA.
A legend in mixed martial arts, Shamrock's impressive fighting skills were called upon to referee a huge match at WrestleMania 13 - the iconic No DQ Submission bout between Bret Hart and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Shamrock and his tiny shorts were present for one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time. It was he who made the call to award the match to Hart after Austin passed out in a pool of his own blood, thus creating one of the sport's most endearing images. But Ken rarely ever comes up in discussions surrounding the match
After refereeing this match, Shamrock would join the WWF roster as a competitor and made quite the name for himself. He won Intercontinental and Tag Team gold, challenged for the top title a few times, and was even a King of the Ring winner.
These accolades have now eclipsed the World's Most Dangerous Man's involvement in the WrestleMania 13 match, which is strange considering just how popular and important that match is regarded as today.
