10 Wrestling Documentaries You Need To See Before You Die

1. The Last Of McGuinness

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBNLuRorKbE It's been said that dreams can come true, but it didn't quite work out that way for Steven Haworth, who wrestled as Nigel McGuinness. Becoming ROH Pure and ROH World Champion during his six-year stay with the Philadephia-based promotion, McGuinness caught the eye of WWE, and it seemed he was destined to live out his dreams. Failing a pre-screening medical test with WWE, McGuinness instead ended up in TNA, but contracted Hepatitis B whilst there, forcing him to retire from active wrestling. It was a sad end to the man's career, and seemed for all the world like his dream had been cruelly waved in front of him, before being snatched from his grasp. The Last Of McGuinness is a self-produced film by Haworth, exploring exactly what happened to his pro wrestling career. A touching film, it can also be uncomfortable to watch, as Haworth regularly breaks down in tears. This isn't scripted, this is real emotion, and frustration at not having been able to work for WWE. If wrestling fans only check out one of the documentaries featured on this list, it should be this one. What other wrestling documentaries would you recommend to fellow wrestling fans?
