Right before CM Punk left WWE in 2014, he had forged a friendship with then-NXT star Corey Graves. The pair had a lot in common, including a love of punk rock and tattoos. To Graves, Punk was a good pal. That all changed with just one text message.

In an interview with Fightful, Corey said Punk told him he didn't want to be associated with anybody who still worked for WWE.

One night, WWE were rolling through Chicago and the Raw announcer wondered if his friend would like to catch dinner. That's when Punk replied with a an emphatic big, fat no, telling Graves that he had no interest in remaining friends with him. Ouch.

This, along with Punk's later comments about WWE, enraged Corey to the point that he's been outspoken on social media about his ex-friend's UFC fights. In Graves' mind, Punk turned his back on him solely because he happened to work for a company Punk left on bad terms.
