On WWE's first ever stadium show in Saudi Arabia and in front of millions via the WWE Network, poor Titus O'Neil made an absolute tool of himself by tripping on some ringside mats and almost braining himself on the ring apron. The embarrassment must have been overwhelming as the lovable klutz lay underneath the ring.

To his credit, Titus hauled himself up and got on with his part in the first Greatest Royal Rumble match. The next day, Jerry Lawler couldn't help but laugh, but he did offer a mortified O'Neil some advice.

During an interview with the Twin Lakes Sports Network, Lawler claimed that it was he who first suggested Titus make the best of a bad situation and turn the botch into part of his on screen character. O'Neil was hesitant at first, then eventually came round to the legend's way of thinking.

Jerry's logic was solid. He wanted to see Titus trip on his way to the ring for a Raw match, slide under the ring and surprise a laughing opponent with a quick roll up. Although O'Neil liked the idea, it was nixed due to the LED lighting rig WWE mount on the apron because that takes up so much space underneath the ring.
