Mick Foley is a sensitive soul at times, and it's an endearing quality.

The fatherly ex-Raw GM relates to wrestling fans in a way few top names do. It's that kinship, candour and positive attitude that has made Mick a de facto babyface any time he shows up on TV. On the Notsam Podcast though, Foley revealed that he was feeling anything but positive towards the end of his last major on screen run.

When fans on Twitter sent a whole load of negativity Mick's way and treated his GM role like it was real, Foley found it hard to disconnect himself from social media. In fact, he was so cut up about some of the comments that he had to delete Twitter altogether lest he be sucked into that negative vacuum others were creating.

Think about that for a second, then realise how ridiculous it sounds. One of wrestling's most famous names was affected by fans who couldn't decipher between fantasy and reality. That might be a social commentary on the wrestling biz as a whole, and it's why Foley said he appeared nervous at times as GM.
