10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (13 March)

4. Melina Thinks Batista Is A "Real Life Hero"

Appearing on a recent episode of the Jim Ross podcast, ex-WWE Diva Melina Perez was full of nothing but praise for Batista, a man she was rumoured to be romantically linked to behind the back of her on/off boyfriend, John Morrison. Strikingly, Melina said that Batista was every bit the super hero in real life that he plays in movies, and denied there being any truth to the allegations of cheating on Morrison. The interview is an interesting one, and the woman comes out quite well, even talking candidly about subjects which are probably quite private, such as how she was perceived in the WWE locker room, not only by her fellow Divas, but in general. Who knows if wrestling fans will ever see Melina in WWE again, but she's been pretty darn quiet since departing the company in 2011, following several successful reigns as WWE Divas and Women's Champion. Along with rumours of seeing one another, Melina and Batista had also been rumoured to be at loggerheads, but the former describes the latter as though he's a sweetheart, and a true friend.
