10. Brian Kendrick Nearly Went Nuts During TNA Run
If one thing has become clear during the man's wrestling career, it's that Brian Kendrick is a free spirit. The phrase, 'he walks to the beat of his own drum' is often used to sell someone's character inside the ring, but it's true of Kendrick outside of it. Nowadays, the man is working at the WWE Performance Center, specifically with Eva Marie to prepare the Diva for a main roster run. Between 2010-2012, Kendrick worked for TNA. Initially, he was part of the 'EV 2.0' group, but he then went on to play a big part in the X-Division Title hunt. Winning the belt himself once, Kendrick's gimmick was a little out there. Playing off his real-life marijuana use, the persona was quirky and very much a believer of zen and inner peace. It wasn't uncommon to see Kendrick sit in the corner of the ring and appear to meditate. As it turns out, Kendrick really needed that stress relief, because he wasn't having fun in TNA. He was under contract to the promotion, and therefore unable to work any other bookings. Despite this, TNA didn't use him that often, sometimes as little as twice per month. This caused Kendrick to go stir crazy, and he claims he pretty much lost his mind through boredom during this tenure.
