10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

6. The Rock's Favourite Match Was On A House Show

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson hasn't be a full time member of the WWE roster since 2002/2003. Everyone knows about the man's successful transition into Hollywood, but his favourite match of all time remains a fairly surprising choice. Many would likely point to WrestleMania battles against Steve Austin, or perhaps a bout against Triple H, but The Rock has a different match in mind. Facing Chris Jericho on a live event in Honolulu, Hawaii, Rocky marks the 2001 collision as his favourite. Jericho has written about the match in his books, citing it as one of the most fun experiences he's had inside the ring also. The Rock simply enjoyed the laid-back feel of the contest, and the red-hot crowd helped things along nicely. After headlining WrestleMania supercards and winning titles galore against the cream of the crop, this stands out as a startling choice. Chris Jericho was a fine rival for The Rock, but they had stellar matches on television and Pay-Per-View. None of those can top that fateful evening in Hawaii for Rocky however.
