3. Dan Spivey Didn't Envision The Undertaker Becoming A Huge Star
Longtime WWE fans may remember Dan Spivey playing the character of 'Waylon Mercy' in 1995. Similarities between Mercy and Bray Wyatt have been picked up upon, not least by Spivey himself. To his credit, the guy is flattered to be linked to a talent like Wyatt, and is generally positive when quizzed about his time under the employ of Vince McMahon. Long before he played the persona of Waylon Mercy, Spivey was part of a tag-team with Mark Calaway. Of course, Calaway is better known as The Undertaker, one of the most long-running and famous characters in pro wrestling history. In WCW during the late-80's, Spivey teamed with 'Taker as 'The Skyscrapers'. The team didn't have a lengthy run before Calaway moved on to find success in the WWF, but they worked together long enough that both men became friends. Unbelievably, Dan Spivey says he's consistently surprised by the heights his pal has reached in the profession. He didn't see him as someone fans would be talking about for years to come, certainly not when they were working alongside one another.
