It's already been reported that Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke just three weeks before hitting the announce desk with Jim Ross to call the pre-show André The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34.

Keeping the ordeal largely private, Lawler only clued in Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn and Triple H, and it wasn't until the day before 'Mania that he was medically cleared. On his 'Dinner With The King' podcast, Jerry said doctors couldn't believe he had recovered so quickly from such a serious incident.

Right up until Saturday (a mere 24 hours before he was due on television), Lawler couldn't utter a word and seemed set to miss out on a cameo WrestleMania return. Symptoms had faded by the time he woke up on Saturday morning though, and that enabled him to convince docs that he'd be fine to announce/make other 'Mania-related appearances.

They agreed, and were left dumbstruck that he'd made such a rapid recovery.
