10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (April 17)

3. Tazz Leaves TNA

Tazz Tna Leaving WWE in 2009, Tazz dropped the extra 'z' from his ring name, joining TNA as an announcer and once again becoming Taz. Initially, the former ECW Heavyweight Champion played very much the same role he had as a commentator in WWE, filling the spot of the jovial, happy-go-lucky announcer. From there, he'd turn heel and join the now-defunct Aces & Eights faction, shifting things up and pretty much exclusively acting as a cheerleader for the other villains in the company. Once that experiment was over with, he returned to his former role of the unbiased announcer. News has since broken that Taz and TNA have parted ways, and the split seems to be amicable. The promotion's Head Of Talent Relations, John Gaburick, tweeted that he wished Taz nothing but the best going forward, whilst the former wrestler also extended his thanks to TNA for 6 wonderful years as an employee. Is there room for Tazz in WWE once more?
