10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (April 17)
4. Bret Hart Endorses Seth Rollins
It's no secret that Bret Hart has a soft spot in his heart for smaller, more wrestling-centric workers. Men such as Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko have all earned praise from Hart in the past, and that has extended to more modern examples like Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan in today's WWE. Recently, stories emerged that Hart had been giving Roman Reigns advice on how to carry himself as a top guy, also giving the big man pointers on how he could navigate the tough, murky waters of the biggest promotion on planet earth. It seems that Reigns isn't the only former member of The Shield that the 'Hitman' has been paying attention to. Cropping up in the wrestling news this week, Bret Hart seemed to endorse Seth Rollins as a champion, saying he was an incredible athlete who could do tremendous things for WWE if they'd let him wrestle his way. Reminiscing about the freedom he was given in his matches when WWF Champion, Hart theorised that there was no other way to create top guys than to let them roll with their own successes.
