David Arquette was left red-faced when he asked Booker T a simple question backstage after shockingly winning the WCW World Title. The actor wanted to know how many times Booker had won the belt himself. The answer, at that point, was that he hadn't.

Booker wasn't interested in an apology, but he was flattered to hear Arquette go out on TV the following week and say wrestlers like him deserved to be World Champion. In Booker's mind, that set the wheels in motion for his first title reign at Bash At The Beach 2000 several months later.

In other words, Booker credits David bloody Arquette for helping convince WCW's creative team that he should hold the top title, and he admitted this during a recent interview with Wrestling Inc.

In 2000, when Arquette was a bigger name than he was, it meant the world to Booker that someone with so much celebrity stroke would go to bat for him on live television. That's certainly a different spin on what most consider one of WCW's biggest disasters.
