It's well-documented that Titus O'Neil (and probably a few others) didn't exactly view Hulk Hogan's apology for racist remarks as genuine backstage at Extreme Rules 2018. Today, O'Neil's perspective on acceptance has softened; he's willing to give Hulk a second chance following a private conversation.

On the WINCLY podcast, O'Neil said Hogan pulled him aside to apologise for what he'd said years ago and asked if they could start anew. The surprising thing for Titus was that Hulk couldn't stop stammering his way through the apology. He was legit nervous, and seemed to get himself all "clammed up" at the thought of being knocked back.

O'Neil accepted, and the pair have since moved on.

Hogan's rambling plea didn't fit with his status as one of wrestling's greatest promo men, and that slightly shocked Titus. He was impressed by how Hulk had sought out individuals to hammer home his sorry however, and that's why he was happy to forgive him.
