5. Heath Slater Placed #8 In WWE's Superstar Of The Year Slammy Award
There was a time when Heath Slater was part of WWE's most-featured heel group. As a member of The Nexus, Slater often wrestled in main events on the house show circuit in the Summer of 2010, but it wasn't to last. Nowadays, he has slotted into a position on the under card, and he's actually someone many fans feel has a limited shelf life in the juggernaut promotion. One thing is for sure, he's certainly not the kind of performer any fans would have down as a potential Slammy Award winner for 'WWE Superstar Of The Year'. Even so, Slater posted a video shortly before the Slammy edition of Monday Night Raw, encouraging people to vote for him. There are rumours that the voting was rigged, which is always the case with these online polls. One thing which may debunk that idea is that Heath Slater placed 8th in the rankings, meaning a fair chunk of WWE fans actually did vote for him. This was revealed during an interview with the man on WWE.com. Seth Rollins was the top vote, and he was likely closely followed by the likes of John Cena and Roman Reigns. Few would have thought Slater would even be in the top 20, let alone the top 10.
