10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Dec 27)

2. When Baron Corbin Found Out About 'Mania 35

It's popular theory that WWE map every inch of WrestleMania's card out the year before. By Survivor Series, some reason, the company know exactly what direction they're headed in and have most of the main matches pinned down. Baron Corbin's words on the No Holds Barred pod reveal that to be a pile of big, hairy b*llocks.

He didn't know he'd be working with Kurt Angle until the legend spewed an unwanted promo on the 18 March 2019 episode of Raw. Think about that: Corbin found out about his 'Mania 35 spot less than three weeks before it happened, and he learned he'd be wrestling Kurt at the exact same time fans did.

That shows, once again, how poorly thought out Angle's retirement was.

His farewell match was treated like a last-minute addition to an already-overstuffed card, and WWE didn't even feel the need to clue Corbin in on the biggest night of his career to date. Nah, they thought he should find out by watching the monitor backstage instead.
