Let it be known that Seth Rollins lifted Naomichi Marufuji's finish and adapted it into a set-up spot for his own move set. Seth himself admitted this when filming a short for FOX on social media, then went one step further by explaining exactly who turned the Curb Stomp into his finisher.

Tyson Kidd, that's who.

The pair were working together on a house show loop in 2014 when Tyson cornered Rollins backstage and said he should think about using the Stomp as his main move. When Seth asked why, Kid described it as more impactful than anything else the pair were doing during matches. He was right, it was.

Fans reacted to the Stomp like it had killed Tyson, and the veteran was smart enough to note that Rollins' actual signature (a fairly bland knee strike) lacked the same oomph. Seth decided to heed the advice and stopped using the Curb Stomp as a transitional move.
