7. "Boring" Comments From Fans Irked Rhea Ripley
Twitter has become a playground of the spineless.
Sorry, but it's true. As much as it's also true not everybody becomes a default keyboard warrior when they log on, the place is littered with more crushing negativity than an Ole Anderson shoot interview. Rhea Ripley experienced that first hand after one of the most joyous moments of her young career.
Basking in the afterglow of that NXT Women's Title win over previous division dominator Shayna Baszler, Rhea innocently hopped onto social media to see what fans were saying about her match. She's sorry she did. Ripley was met with endless posts from critics calling Shayna "boring", and it broke her heart.
She told Newsweek that such comments were out of line. Baszler was working as the heel of the piece, and her ground-based style was a deliberate choice to shine babyface lights firmly onto Rhea. It disturbed Ripley that some fans couldn't see the good side (her title success) of the situation and only focused on perceived bad.
