10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Dec 8)
7. The New Day's Unicorn Horns Sold Out At Raw
The New Day are one of the most popular acts in WWE right now, stemming from their incredible ability to entertain. Initially, the group were supposed to be inspirational babyfaces, something Vince McMahon was dead set on making work. Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E had their reservations about the idea, realising that wrestling fans wouldn't accept it fully. The idea was thus turned on its head, and New Day are now cartoon-like villains. In truth, they skirt a fine line between heel and babyface, because they're so consistently entertaining. One of their latest tweaks has been talking about unicorns, even making unicorn 'horns' by holding their fingers to their heads. Starting on Monday Night Raw, little foam 'horns' were sold at the merchandise stand. Incredibly, they proved to be one of the most sought after items at stalls. Kofi Kingston tweeted after the show that all supplies of the horns sold out in less than 5 hours at the event. It's quite remarkable to imagine something so silly being so popular and effective, but it's a testament to how over The New Day have become with WWE fans.
