There may never be a better WrestleMania match than Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker from WrestleMania XXV.

Even the legendary pair themselves struggled to top what they had achieved when pitted against one another in a rematch the following year. Every fan will have their favourite, but 'Mania XXV's bout is generally regarded as the better one.

Appearing on the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast, Marty Alias (the referee for the original match) stunned those interviewing him by suggesting that WWE fancied putting HBK vs. 'Taker on earlier in the card.

The decision may have caused a riot had it gone through, but there were serious considerations about putting the match on third. To put that into perspective, this would have placed the infamous bout right after a Divas Battle Royal won by Santino Marella in drag.

Infamously, Randy Orton's slow-moving WWE Title match opposite Triple H headlined the show, although many still consider Michaels vs. Undertaker as 'Mania XXV's true main event.

Alias told how Michaels and Undertaker waved away suggestions that they go out so early on the pay-per-view. The pair rightly pointed out that they were a huge selling point for WrestleMania.
