The entire wrestling world was shocked when WWE announced that none other than Jeff Jarrett will be inducted into the promotion's Hall Of Fame shortly before WrestleMania 34. Jarrett's relationship with the company had always been considered rocky since he left for WCW under acrimonious circumstances in 1999.

TMZ conducted a short interview with Jeff earlier this week, and he revealed that the induction hasn't been some master plan put together over a protracted period. In fact, Jarrett was as stunned as anyone to receive a phone call from WWE management in January about the HOF gig.

Jarrett didn't give a specific date, but it's amazing to know WWE were scrambling for inductees as recently as last month. Just three months before the ceremony itself, the company still didn't have a full class. There's something remarkable about that.

"Double J" doesn't care. He's just happy to represent his legendary wrestling family on 6 April.
