Departing the promotion recently, UK-born Magnus has been pretty outspoken about what had been going on in TNA over the past few years, notably stating that officials weren't being picky enough when it came to talent recruitment, and it hurt the hard-working men and women already on the roster.

In December, 2013, the native of Norfolk, England captured the TNA Heavyweight Title, defeating Jeff Hardy to win the belt for the first time. In the process, Magnus became the first British World Champion in TNA history, and turned heel during the bout, joining forces with Dixie Carter, EC3 and Rockstar Spud.

Speaking about his reign as champion (which lasted up until April, 2014, when Magnus lost it to Eric Young), this past week, the Brit seems relatively displeased with how it was undermined by the departure of AJ Styles from TNA, and the fact that the company seemed to hot-shot the belt onto Young in order to capitalise on the Daniel Bryan situation in WWE.

It's remarkable to hear an honest appraisal such as this from a former World Champion, and Magnus clearly feels his run with the title should have been better.
