Along with Vince Russo, Ed Ferrara was a crucial part of the then-WWF creative division during the height of the 'Attitude Era'. Leaving with Russo to join World Championship Wrestling in late-1999, Ferrara has spoken previously about his thoughts that both he and his partner were entering an impossible situation with the Atlanta-based organisation.

Feeling WCW was on life support by the time he signed on to work for the promotion, Ferrara obviously didn't help matters by booking characters such as 'Oklahoma', a gimmick designed to stick it to Jim Ross. Quite how this was supposed to enthrall WCW fans (who respected the WWF announcer) is anyone's guess, but Ferrara said this week that - outside of hokey gimmicks - he feels TNA has a lot in common with his former employers, WCW.

The problems facing TNA seem pretty glaring - not only are talent shipping out on a near-weekly basis, but the general consensus amongst wrestling fans seems to be that it's only a matter of time before they go out of business. Ferrara agrees, but said that he doesn't see this as a good thing for the industry.
