Nobody could have guessed that Aiden English would actually go on to bigger and better things once Simon Gotch left WWE and the pair's Vaudevillains tag-team split, but that's what happened. As Rusev's second, English has had a second chance at making a first impression, and it's working.

Meanwhile, Gotch is happy he's out of the firing line.

During an interview with ProWrestling.com, Gotch revealed he was "never proud" of his work in the company and constantly had to grit his teeth when inexperienced creative team members told him how to act. That didn't sit well with the Vaudevillain, and it led him to go through the motions as a wrestler rather than work with passion.

This writer firmly believes Gotch should have some pride in his NXT run. The Vaudevillains only went downhill after landing on the main roster. Before that, to a close-knit audience on a smaller stage, the gimmick was very much over and looked to have real potential.
