10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (July 14)
3. Roman Reigns Could Reach Another Milestone At Extreme Rules
If Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley headlines this Sunday's pay-per-view, it will mark the first time WWE have booked a straight-up singles match to go on last at Extreme Rules. That's not the only milestone that'd be conquered if Reigns is in the main event.
Should the match be chosen to close out the card, it'll be Roman's 27th WWE pay-per-view main event overall. That would put him 11th on the list of those who have been given that distinction more than once, and it'd mean Reigns would jump ahead of names like Batista, Kurt Angle, Edge and Bret Hart.
That, as any older fan will agree, is preposterous.
Making things even more fascinating is the fact that Reigns would only be one match behind Brock Lesnar (who has headlined 28 supershows), two behind Chris Jericho (30) and a mere six behind The Rock (33). John Cena (72) is at the top of the list, so Roman has a long way to go before he matches him.
Don't bet against it happening.
